This 2-day hands-on course seeks to provide comprehensive training in the use of CT in the pre-TAVI assessment and will cover how to perform the various measurements crucial for TAVI sizing.

Hands-on with your personal workstation for 2 days
Report at least 25 TAVI cases yourself under expert guidance
Eligible for 14 CPD credits in accordance with the CPD scheme by the Royal College of Radiologists

This intensive 2-day hands-on course offers comprehensive training in the CT utilization for pre-TAVI assessment, focusing on all of the essential measurements crucial for successful TAVI sizing.

You will review at least 25 cases using your own dedicated workstation using a vendor neutral method so that your skills can be applied to any 3D software platforms.

You will learn to do measurements in cases including bicuspid valve and valve in valve.

We will discuss high risk features and the review the common complications post TAVI giving you the confidence to assess cases both pre and post TAVI.

Equip yourself with the essential skills and knowledge to enhance your proficiency in cardiovascular imaging through this hands-on learning experience.

Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, London, UK

Dr Ben Ariff is a consultant radiologist working at Imperial College NHS Trust, London and subspecialising in cardiac CT and cardiovascular MR, working within a multidisciplinary tertiary environment.

Dr Ariff is level 3 accredited in cardiac CT (SCCT/BSCI) and CMR (SCMR); was an ESOR cardiac imaging fellow at Leiden University and has extensive experience in clinical pharmacology and general internal medicine, working at the International Centre of Circulatory Health and St Mary’s Hospital, having obtained CCT in both.

He was awarded a PhD for his work focusing on carotid artery remodeling and the local haemodynamic effects of anti-hypertensive agents combining computational fluid dynamics with imaging techniques.
